The new FV Series Mold Center Edition

Based on the FV series of vertical machining centres, Toyoda Mitsui Europe presents the Mold Center Edition feature set for die and mold makers.

The Mold Center Edition features a Heidenhain control, linear measuring scales, box way drives and direct drive spindle with flex coupling.

Using the solid base of the FV series machines, the renowned manufacturer of precise machining centres is able to deliver machines on the highest technically and quality level. Hand scraped contact surfaces and ball screws pre-stressed on both sides for minimum slackness and maximum precision are therefore standard as well as optimal accessibility through wide opening doors. As for long-term precision, linear measuring scales on all axes and sensor driven temperature compensation for the spindle is included in the package. Last but not least the control provides fastest record processing and a look-ahead function for optimized rapid traverse rates to increase overall efficiency.

In cooperation with Tebis, Toyoda offers a complete software package for the Mold Center. Three additional feature packs can be added, e.g. 5 axes machining or simulation with virtual machines, to accomplish a multitude of die and mold manufacturing tasks.

The Mold Center Edition starts with the two models FV1165 and FV1680 with table sizes of 1,300 x 650 mm and 1,750 x 800 mm, which are available now.
